David said it was July and there were fires everywhere and when he woke to this sunrise, ash was falling like snow.

Vern Matthews took this photo from the back of their Spirit II on a 60 my paddle in British Columbia's Wells Gray Provencial Park. The haze in the background is from wildfires burning a couple hundred miles away.

Sue Audette shot this photo at the start of the 2nd day of the Adirondack 90 Classic in September of 2007. As you can see, it looked a lot like a Wenonah Convention.
